DONNIE’S JOURNAL
My last 2 stops have been wonderful. I had the opportunity to catch up with my TBS friend Scott Whitehead and his wife Kathy. Scott even joined me for about 15 miles on my journey. Even the cats were hospitable - Princess, Q-Tip and Kiwi. I also met a new friend at Wallace Manor - Mrs. Wallace - and her friendly black lab puppy Shadow. I couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Mrs. Wallace has been very gracious in allowing me to spend two nights at her bed and breakfast in Providence Forge when I was unable to find other overnight arrangements. She even provided transportation! Super lady. Equally amazing is that I came upon some construction work on the road I am traveling. The construction company was Lanford and I met up with Boys' Home alumnus Roy Craft. Roy Craft graduated from Alleghany High School in 2000. Nice to see a familiar face after all of the wild life - birds, beaver - along the way today. I also met Officer Curran (Hanover Deputy Sheriff) who stopped to check on my progress.
