DONNIE’S JOURNAL
Left campus on Friday, July 22 with boys and heading into the final long leg of this journey, first to Marion and Christ Church. Our contact is Pat Graham. We stayed in a cabin at Hungry Mother's State Park -we enjoyed the setting. Next morning proceeded to Abingdon- met up with I.B. Dent and treated to lunch at the church with the Rev. Craig Wylie. Stayed in a lake cottage, compliments of Robert Land. Reggie and Eskinder joined I.B. Dent and Mr. Land for a Chinese lunch. While Lenny and Hunter stayed back, Ben, Tyler, Travis and Chad finished up the mileage. The hot temps took a toll on the walkers. After this last trek, boys swam and were treated to a church supper. Boys particularly liked Craig's dog ,Jane, who likes to play! Thank you to all for your hospitality!
