DONNIE’S JOURNAL
Lunch at Hardee's in Wytheville - thank you! Walking on Route 11 south of Wytheville - hoping to meet up with BR Ed Trinkle somewhere along the way. Met up with the Rev. Leland Smith who proceeded with us to Visitor's Center. Ending the day with a picnic reception at the Recreation Park Pavilion and we had planned to stay in the bandstand tonight. However, Bill Rice, Executive Director of Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands, offered us a cottage and real bed so we gladly stayed there. We also toured the facility and boys played a little baskbetball. (although their feet were suffering some) Derrick stuck right with me on the Walk and Jeremy (who struggled a bit at first) kept a good pace too. Thank you!
