REGION INFORMATION
Will try to meet up with The Rev. David Robayo, Christ Church, Luray on Friday, June 24.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This week on Wednesday, June 22 I also walked in the Roanoke area - and briefly joined the NFCCE group- National Federation of Child Care Executives. This group is meeting in Hotel Roanoke for the week. Many toured Boys' Home on Monday - Jerry Neal, assistant director, program, planned this national conference. Then I headed on to St. John's Episcopal Church, Roanoke - reunion with Seth Polley, Asst. Rector and met Becky Craft. From there I headed just down the street to Evans House - and was treated to lunch by Dorothy, Pam, Christie, Jim, Jenny, Beth, Bill , Gloria , Judy = the great staff and volunteers at the Evans House. Heard the details of the Bishop and Alan's walk in Bradford - lots of rain and cool temperatures for them. Another pleasant day for me - a thank you does not seem enough to these gracious hosts!

DONNIE’S JOURNAL
Monday- June 20 - late start this morning- overcast and cool (cold?) Saw my first black bear on this trek and met up with 2 bikers who also reported seeing 2 black bears down the road. Lots of deer shared the roadway with me - some almost friendly, some indifferent. One I named Bambi particularly had funny antics. Had a pleasant evening with my hosts Ginny, Ann and Chester. Tuesday - it was warm today and I got an early start. Deer were plentiful on top of the mountain - one group just let me pass by without a flicker.
