Admissions Application and Interview The first step for placing a child at Boys’ Home is to contact our Admissions Coordinator by phone at (540) 965-7709 or by email (lbspecht@boyshomeinc.org) and submit an application. Mark Miller is the Manager of Intake and Evaluation. The child, guardian, and Boys’ Home staff participate in an on-site interview. We approach the needs of each child on an individual basis to determine how we can help. All of Boys' Home residential education placements are made through the Intake and Evaluation Program. No child is ever turned away because the family cannot afford to pay for assistance. Admission Guidelines Boys ages 6-17 are considered for admission to Boys’ Home. The child’s past experiences and history are reviewed so that we can better assess the child’s needs. Other documentation, such as a current physical and dental exam, previous school records, immunizations, family and social history, birth certificate, social security card, copies of psychological reports, and custody information must also accompany the application. We are not equipped to offer services to those individuals with severe emotional, mental, or physical problems which require a residential treatment setting.
