"An Environment for Success since 1906."
Life is no more complex than it has ever been. True, distractions are pervasive. Problems in family structure are increasingly difficult to address. Issues ranging from poverty to peer pressure make it hard for a lot of boys to find their way.
But the basic building blocks for a good lifefor setting a boy on a path that will help him become a well-rounded manremain unchanged: character, respect for self and others, an understanding of God, and an appreciation for the value of each person.
Boys’ Home provides care for young men who currently need a change in environment. Boys’ Home is responsible for the basic necessities of food, clothing and shelter for these young men as well as the responsibility of molding the character of each of our residents. No boy will ever be denied because of his family’s financial circumstance.
We offer recreational facilities, a chapel, and an on-campus school that allows boys to catch up academically before entering the public school system. Vocational-technical opportunities are also offered. The 1400-acre campus and surrounding Alleghany Highlands give boys a chance to explorenot just the hills, swimming holes and treesbut themselves.
Our Mission
The mission of Boys’ Home is help each resident strive toward becoming a productive member of society, by developing his potential, spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.
